Welcome to AMSA MU Premedical Chapter
|
Founded in 1950, AMSA is embodied by more than
34,000 medical student members, including more
than 3,000 premedical student members. AMSA at
Marquette University is a member of Region 6. A
student-governed and student-led national
organization, AMSA stands for the concerns of
future physicians.
With chapters at almost every medical school in
the country, as well as premedical chapters in most
major colleges and universities, AMSA is the
foremost organization helping
physicians-in-training, including premedical
students, maximize their opportunities.
Getting into medical school is challenging. Medical
schools search to fill their seats with students who
are involved in leadership and community
activities. In addition, admission committees want
to know that you, the applicant, take on serious
roles to learn about health care today. If you are
interested in pursuing a career in medicine, you
have found the right organization. AMSA at
Marquette University, even in our first year, hopes
to provide you with the resources that you need to
accomplish your goals.
The Purpose of the
Organization is to
help Premedical
Students:
 | | To maximize their |
| | opportunities.
|
 | | To enhance |
| | understanding of our health care system.
|
 | | To support members in |
| | their entrance to medical school.
|
 | | To seek the well-being |
| | of community through projects, service, and leadership.
